This picture in no fake. We have been invited for a roundtable discussion with the World Bank President, the famous neo-con & hawk Paul Wolfowitz. Meeting Mr. Wolfowitz was pleasant also insofar as he acted quite contrary to our image of relentless neocons. His nice manners, and deep interest in reforms in Africa, signalled that this man is not a rent-seeker within the profession, as is often the case. On the other hand, the meeting was a bit pointless, which explains my nap.
Well, now I await another, more thrilling opportunity to sit next to the World Bank President; perhaps when the Chief Economist post gets vacant?
